First of all, to answer those questions that must certainly be burning in your mind: Who is Princess FiFi? Is she a real person? What magical kingdom does she stand in line to rule?
Princess FiFi is actually my daughter, Alexa, who just celebrated her second birthday this year. From the second she was born, she has possessed a magical, magnetic, and regal air........like a princess! Princess FiFi is the nickname my family and I gave her at birth, and it is her likeness that is portrayed in our company's logo.
I (Michelle, the company founder) spent almost twenty years as a police officer and most recently left as a Sergeant for a major Southern California law enforcement agency. Six of those years were spent as a detective, investigating the often violent and always tragic crimes committed against child victims. In spite of being a part of the rough and tumble and often-difficult world of police work, I have always held a strong artistic and creative temperament; I love to draw, paint, cook and create.
Even while working full-time and raising a family, I have always found time to cook, bake and create sweets. I read several books and attended several classes that only fueled my passion to start my own business. Friends and family had always told me, "You're so creative and good at this stuff, you should start your own business!"
It wasn't until the birth of Princess FiFi (Alexa, in case you forgot) that I decided to put my plan into action. I wanted a career that would allow me to express myself creatively, make people happy, indulge my interests in both art and food preparation, and most importantly, provide the flexibility that still allows me time with my family. As a result, one chapter of my life had closed and a new one has begun. With the help and support of family and friends Princess FiFi Sweet Treats & More was born.
I currently have a certification from Cal Poly Pomona in Gift Basket Design and Management. I have attended several classes in cake decorating and artisanal chocolate manufacturing to further the professionalism of the gift basket, chocolate, and confectionery industries.
Our mission at Princess FiFi's is to provide you with the most exquisite, unique, high quality, delicious, and beautiful custom gift baskets and custom chocolate creations available anywhere, while at the same time specializing in a personal, friendly, and client centered atmosphere.
